Le Croisic pays tribute to the treasures of the sea
Le Croisic is a small port town on the west coast of France, in the Pays de la Loire region. If you visit the port, you’ll appreciate the lively atmosphere, the return of the fishermen with their catch of the day and the diversity of the boats moored there.
Le Croisic has always been intimately linked to the sea. That’s why, in 2022, the town of Le Croisic launched a new market: the Marché de la Mer et du Terroir. The reviews are very positive!
What better way to celebrate marine delicacies and local specialities?
In Le Croisic, fishermen mainly catch whiting, sole, sea bass, langoustine, spider crab and cockles. Find these emblematic products of the Croisic coast freshly caught at this summer market. The great thing about the Croisic market is that not only will the sight of these beautiful stalls whet your appetite, but the passionate fishmongers will be delighted to share their advice and recipe ideas to help you make the most of your lunch!
In addition to showcasing Atlantic fish and shellfish, this weekly market features local products from the Loire-Atlantique region: Guérande salt, salted butter caramel, crayfish, bardatte…
The Marché de la Mer et du Terroir is held only in summer, on Friday mornings from early July to late August, at the new fish market.
